Attention All Campers
Our November Meeting at Rex’s turned out to be a huge success. We had a large turn out and the food was excellent. Dave Calary stepped down as president and handed it over to Julius Meekins. Jim Stephens gladly accepted the nomination as vice president. Janice Garner and myself will continue to respresent you in 2010 as treasurer and secretary. A little reminder for those of you who have not renewed your club membership the dead line is February 28th 2010. I will send an attachment of the club application for your convince. 2010 CAMPING CLUB TRIPS

February>> (02/26-10) Smithfield KOA. Smithfield NC. (800-377-1808).Fifteen sites have been reserved with more available is necessary. Tell them you are with Rex’s Cape Fear Camping Club. We are going on the 4th weekend so that we can support Rex at the Raleigh RV show at the fairgrounds. Wagon Master is Patty Smith you may call with questions (910-279-9165) or (910-270-4539).
March>>(03-19-10) Mt Pleasant/ Charleston KOA in Mt Pleasant SC (800-562-5796). Twenty sites have been reserved call now to make your reservations. Wagon Masters are Jim and Linda Stephens.
April>>(04-09-10) Yogi Bear’s/Daddy Joe’s in Tabor City NC. (877-668-8586).The club decided to change this trip from the 3rd weekend to the 2nd weekend due to the fact that most school’s spring break is the week after Easter and we thought some of you would enjoy a few extra days of camping. Twenty-five sites have been reserved at a discounted price of 30.90/night(tax included). Let them know you are with Rex and Son’s camping club to receive the discount. You may make reservations as early as Wednesday or Thursday to enjoy a few extra days of camping. Make your reservations as soon as possible. Wagon Masters are Danny and Carol Gilchrist.

August>>(08-13-10)New Bern KOA in New Bern NC.(800-562-3341). We booked this trip when we were there last August in order to return because they usually fill up in the summer months. We also chose the 2nd weekend instead of the 3rd. Wagon Master Patty Smith. More information later.
September>>(09-03-10) Hillsville VA. Labor Day Weekend. Wagon Masters Jack and Bonnie Clayton. More information later still working on finding a good campground to stay.
October>>(10-15-19) Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Myrtle Beach SC.(800-255-3568). Wagon Masters Keith and Sharon Hartung. More information later.
November>>(11-12-10) Dinner/meeting @ Rex and Son’s, Wilmington NC. As a club we have decided to keep the dinner meeting the 2nd weekend of the month due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
